Darshan, thikana, Holi. Sab ek jagah.
Radha Rani's town, arranged by people who live in it. Darshan help at Shriji, rooms near the temple, cabs and guides, Lathmar Holi done safely, the Sakhi villages, and seva offered in your name when you cannot come.
Four ways to come to Barsana
Barsana is a morning town. Shriji closes from 2 PM to 5 PM, so every trip we plan starts at the morning aarti and ends with the evening one.
Darshan day
Cab from your door or Mathura station, Shringar aarti at Shriji, Kirti Mandir, Prem Sarovar, Nandgaon after the temples reopen. Ropeway if you want it.
Festival stay
Two nights in Barsana itself, not 40 km away. A cab, a guide who knows the sevayats, and help with timings and crowds.
Ashta Sakhi circuit
The eight Sakhi villages around Barsana, Prem Sarovar and Gahvar Van in one day with a guide who knows each village. Nobody else packages this properly.
Seva from home
Poshak, bhog or deep seva offered at Shriji in your name through the temple's sevayats, with a photo back the same day.
Also: cabs on their own, money exchange and UPI for guests from abroad, and every bed in Barsana measured from the temple.
Days worth planning around
Two days carry the year: Lathmar Holi in March and Radha Ashtami in September. The rest is quieter and, for darshan, better.
Lathmar Holi
158days away
Laddu Holi on 15 March, Lathmar Holi in Barsana expected on the 16th, Nandgaon on the 17th, Rangwali Holi on the 22nd.
Radha Ashtami
334days away
Radha Rani's appearance day and Barsana's biggest crowd: the district planned for 25 lakh devotees in 2026. Book the room first, then the cab.
The quiet season
6months of cool mornings
Sharad Purnima, Kartik, Basant Panchami when the gulal first flies at Shriji. The months for the Sakhi circuit and a slow Gahvar Van walk.
Rooms in Barsana, not 40 km away
Most "Barsana hotels" online are in Vrindavan or Mathura. We list only places in Barsana, with the real walking distance to the temple, and at partner stays you pay 10% less than the rate at the door because we bring the owners guests all year.
33 beds, measured from the temple
Every hotel, guest house, homestay and dharamshala in Barsana on one page, with the distance to Shriji, what guests say, the phone number, and the time to leave for the 7 AM aarti. Filter by kind, distance, parking or food.
Eight villages, one lotus around Barsana
Radha Rani's eight closest companions each have a village of their own around Barsana, with her temple in it. Lalita's Unchagaon is a mile from the Shriji steps. Pilgrims have walked the circle for centuries; almost nobody packages it today.
Why book with people who live here
- We know which lane is open on Holi morning and which rooftop is safe
- Our guides know the sevayats, so seva is done properly and darshan is calm, not rushed
- Fixed prices sent before you travel. No surge on festival days
- We never sell VIP darshan or queue-jumping. Nobody in Barsana can, and we will not pretend to
A town that is still being served
Narayan Bhatt found the lost deities four centuries ago. Ramesh Baba of Maan Mandir spent sixty years restoring Barsana's kunds and hills and left this world on 6 October 2026. The Goswami families still sing the samaj every evening. We take you to the people who keep the place, not around them.
We reply with a plan, not a brochure
Say when you are coming and how many of you there are. You get two or three options with real distances to Shriji and a fixed price. No surge on festival days.
- Reply within a day, usually within hours
- Stays 10% below the walk-in rate when booked through us
- A local lead with every group on festival days
- No VIP darshan promises, because there is no such thing at Shriji
